Kindness in the Soap Opera Industry

It is often said that you can measure a person's kindness factor by the effort he/she puts forth for you when there is very little that you can do in return for him/her.

I wanted to take a little time to acknowledge some folks who have shown Woven Branches, my very own little soap opera, such kindness:

Mariann Aalda, featured in soap operas The Edge of Night, Guiding Light, Sunset Beach, Models Inc.

Sharon Gabet, best known as the mischievous Raven Whitney on the soap opera The Edge of Night.

Patricia Pease, featured in the soap opera Search for Tomorrow, and played Kimberly Brady on the legendary Days of Our Lives.

Lauretta Hannon, author of the best-seller The Cracker Queen, and named "Funniest Woman in Georgia" by Southern Living Magazine.

All of the folks listed above not only read my book The Road to Noeware, they graciously provided quotes for future book covers. I appreciate them more than they know.

I am excited to say that a few more folks in the soap opera industry have agreed to receive and read copies of my first book:

*Tracey Bregman (actress, The Young and the Restless)

*Sandra Dee Robinson (actress, Another World)

*Patrika Darbo (actress, Days of Our Lives)

*Sean Kanan (actor, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Cobra Kai)

*Karen Needle (actress, The Edge of Night)

*Connie Passalacqua Hayman, aka Marlena De Lacroix (40-year veteran soap opera journalist and editor who freelanced for every soap opera magazine ever published, and was an adjunct professor of journalism at NYU and taught journalism at Marymount Manhattan College. She currently writes her own blog, Soaps for the Thinking Fan.

*Books have been sent to these amazing people. They are listed here as a "thank you," not because they have finished reading/reviewing said book.

I hope you will look up everyone listed here and be as supportive of their projects as they have been to Woven Branches.
